School Lunch prices stay the same in 2007- 08

Coweta county schools are committed to providing students with a breakfast and lunch program that meets student’s nutritional needs and prepares students for an academically successful school day.

In high schools, students are provided with several choices daily, including a regular hot lunch line, “pizza line,” and salad bar. In all schools, the school meal programs meet all federal guidelines.

School breakfast and lunch prices remain the same for the 2007-08 school year.

Breakfast: $.80 in all schools ($.30 reduced price)
$1.35 for adults and employees

Lunch: $2.00 in high schools ($.40 reduced price)
$2.00 in middle schools ($.40 reduced price)
$1.75 in elementary schools ($.40 reduced price)
$2.50 for adults and employees

Coweta County School lunch programs do not operate a billing program. Students must pay for lunch or breakfast on a per-meal basis, or may pay in advance. Parents are encouraged to pre-pay for student’s meals by the week or month.

Depending on household income or other factors, families may be eligible for federal Free and Reduced Price lunch programs.

Applications for free and reduced price lunch are available for all schools, and can be picked up at the office or school cafeteria manager.
