At their March 10 monthly meeting, the

several Coweta County schools which will have openings in the
upcoming school year.
Sean Dye was named principal of Jefferson Parkway Elementary
School; Christi Hildebrand was named principal of Elm Street
Elementary School; Vern Mamon was named principal of Winston
Dowdell Academy; and Leigh Munson was named Principal of

All four will begin at their new posts officially on July 1, but
will plan for their schools’ new academic year in addition to
their current duties.
Christi Hildebrand – who is currently serving as the school
system’s School Improvement and Testing Coordinator – will
become the principal of Elm Street Elementary School next year,
replacing outgoing principal Julie Raschen when she leaves to
become the principal of the new Brooks Elementary School at the
end of the school year.
Hildebrand began teaching in Florida schools in 1998, as a 1st
grade teacher at Philip Shore Magnet School and a Technology

School, and was the Coweta County School System’s 2007 Teacher
of the Year and a finalist for 2008 Georgia Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Sean Dye – who is currently serving as an assistant

Eastside Elementary School. Munson will replace Eastside
Principal Sandra Hinton when she retires at the end of the
school year.
