Welcome to Brooks Elementary School!
Dear Parents:
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back for what promises to be an exciting and successful school year. We have had an amazing start to the 2011-2012 school year all due to the efforts put forth by each and every member of our school family.
Thank you to our teachers and staff for your hard work preparing your classrooms to provide engaging and supportive learning activities from day one.
Thank you to our parents for being so supportive of our school and teachers and overwhelmingly patient and flexible allowing us time to work out all the kinks we find during our first week back.
Thank you to our students for coming to school from the first day eager to learn and willing to put forth your best effort. It has been a true joy!
As we look forward to the rest of the school year, our faculty is committed to ensuring that each and every child is provided an opportunity to excel academically, physically, and socially. We know that we can only accomplish this through a true partnership between the school, the parents, and the students, and we invite you to join us on this journey.
You can help your child achieve his/her personal goals through the following procedures and activities:
- Check and sign your child’s agenda every night and the Bronco folder every Monday.
- Review your child’s homework after it has been completed and help make any needed corrections or changes.
- Arrive at school by 7:50 am to give your child adequate time to be in the classroom and ready for instruction by 8:00 am.
- Maintain open and frequent communication with your child’s teacher.
We truly believe that together we can make the difference that will ensure child’s success at Brooks. I look forward to working with each of you and getting to know your family throughout the course of this year.
After an amazingly successful first two years, I can only imagine where this year will take each of us. Again, welcome to Brooks-we are glad you are a part of our family!
